In Israel most people are kosher which means that they don't eat pork and they do not eat any combination of meat and milk
at the same meal. meals on the sabbath may include fish,soup,and cholent. cholent is a stew eaten on the sabbath. Vegtable salads are eaten every day and they are often topped with olive oil
or lemon juice or spices. They may also be topped with tomato sauce. Kebabs are metal sticks with vegtabes and meats grilled until they are juicy. also, people eat pitabread dipped in hummus, a chickpea mixture for a snack. people also eat falafels.

Israel is a country that people from all over the world move into. They bring all of their cultures and styles to Israel which is why Israeli folk dancing has a blend of other countrys, too.
Before the 1950's, israeli folk dancing wasn't as developed as it is now. It has a strong Eastern European Influence Because a lot of the people who move into Israel are from Europe. Group singing is popular in private homes and community centers. Israel has a strong tradition of classical music.
